In the jungle, the mighty jungle...

The lion sleeps tonight, or doesn't. Ha, he is finally in bed after a great first Halloween. Jax dressed up in the most adorable lion costume, and let me tell you he loved it. Now normally just to get him to put a shirt over his head is a fight, so i thought to get this costume on, which included a head piece was going to be very difficult if not impossible. However, this was not the case at all. Jaxson loved being in the costume, so much so that he wore it the entire day, eating, napping, hanging out. The entire day he had it on, and he acted as though it was just a normal thing, didn't phase him in the least. He did go trick or treating (and so what if it was only to 2 apartment), he got candy which is the most important part. Evy, the wife of Christo (who plays with Pat), loves Jax. Let me tell you the feeling is mutual. Jax loves and adores her, hugs her (which he does not usually do) lets her hold him, everything! She gave him good candy a twix, and just could not get enough of our little Simba!
Because Chloe was born yesterday, we were on skype all day with the whole family, who were all at AMH so they were all able to see Jaxson dressed up as well. Speaking of Chloe, she made her debut yesterday as I mentioned on 10-30-10, I love it! What a great birthday! She was born at 1:3oam and weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. Definitely thought she was going to be bigger, but she is the cutest! We so wish we could be there right now holding her and seeing her in person, but skype will have to do for now:(
This has definitely been my best Halloween yet, and I look forward to many more to come!

Flisvos Marina

Well today was a really fun day for our little fam! Pat had the morning off from practice, so we decided to get out of the house and walk around a bit. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Last night my two greek girlfriends, Mandy and Evy (both short for some long greek name) took me to the marina to have coffee and chat. I fell in love with the marina, and the cafe we went to which served the most amazing mocha freddo. Im sure it packed quite a bit of calories, but it was well worth it! Anyway, I knew immediately I had to bring Pat back!
So today we took a little stroll down the marina, saw enormous beautiful boats, lots of cafes, and best of all found a great area for Jax to play (once he learns to walk). It was a quick trip, no coffee or mocha freddos included, but we will be back there a lot, and i see plenty of good drinks in our future.

Long time away!

Well it has been over a year and a half since I have last blogged. A lot has changed, including now we have a little baby boy. He was born in January, and basically is the cutest boy in the world:) Since last having written, we are now living in Athens, Greece. Loving life right now would be an understatement. We have met many great people, seen many great things, and enjoyed many great meals! Jaxson is loved by everyone he comes in contact with, they just cannot get enough of him!
Setting up a new home for the first time with a child has certainly been a bit more time consuming. Trying to "child proof" the apartment has been interesting. Just when we think we have everything covered, Jax finds something else dangerous to play with! He loves electrical cords and sockets more than anything, which is even more terrifying knowing the electrical voltage in the sockets is like twice the amount here, as compared to the states. He finally has a crib all set up and an area to play (which include rugs!!). So now he can crawl around and have fun, without mommy and daddy hovering!
As for the team, Pat is playing on a team named Ikaros Esperos technically of Kallithea Greece, but we are living in Nea Smyrni, right outside of Athens. The teammates are great, and the coach may be a little crazy, but outside of basketball seems to be a very nice man. Pat's team lost the first game. Jax and I were unable to go to the first game, because apparently the other team, AEK, have crazy fans. We were told by many people to stay home, so we did. We have to now wait another week for the next game, which will probably seem like forever; especially considering last year in the D-League there was a game basically every other day.
Well that is enough for the first post, of many more to come! So happy to be back in Europe, feels like home(without the family)!
