We need to work on your georaphy

Well the weekend didn't start too great, after a pretty bad loss Friday night. The game was just really ugly, and Pat really didnt get the ball much, so it was just not a good game. Sadly, his parents were in town, and we lost, so that stunk. I really wanted him to win when his parents were here. But the loss certainly did not keep us from having a great rest of the weekend.
After the game, as usual, we went to Carmelo's for dinner, and had an awesome time! Pat's parents loved the restaurant and Pat's teammates! After a few hours of eating and drinking too much sangria, the night was over. Sat morning we woke up, went to church and then headed down south, to one of the most amazing resorts I've ever seen. The Carroll's were staying there for Sat and Sun night, and for valentines day, they got us a room there. It was so nice and we certainly had a blast. So after dinner Sunday night, after an amazing buffet, that I ate way too many calories, we went to a piano bar. We were talking to the waitress after ordering some drinks and asked her where she was from. She said to guess, and said northern europe, apparently. Well all 4 of us thought she said not in europe, so as we began guessing she starts looking at us really awkward. WE are saying things like australia and places in asia and finally when Pat said Canada, she just stopped and said, really i think we need to work on your geography. We were all like what the heck where could she be from, well it was Latvia, and we were all confused. Eventually we all figured out what happened, but I still think she thought we were all so stupid haha. Kind of funny.
Monday we had a few hours to hang out until we had to leave for Pat's practice. Unfortunately neither Pat nor I had any idea how strong the sun was, because both of us are so burnt. I mean I'm not really complaining because I love some color, but I have a feeling I am going to peel pretty bad. Lucky for Pat he always turns to tan, so not fair.
Anyway, that was our weekend, so fun, so much food, alcohol, and sun. Just perfect!

Chicken noodle soup

Well Pat is still not 100%, but he is feeling better. How does he seriously lose weight so quick, I have no idea. But i think he lost about 5 lbs in one day. Anyway today he was able to eat a little more, and so I made chicken noodle soup. Im not sure why I only make it when he's sick, cause it tastes so good. Anyway one disgusting part of the preparing part, I was cleaning and cutting up the chicken and I see this white little piece on the chicken. Thinking its like a tendon or something I went to cut it off, but it was this little piece of plastic cut out to look like an arrow. It was so nasty, I could not eat the chicken. The more and more I make dinner involving meat, the closer I become to a vegetarian. Anyway besides the chicken the soup was fantastic.
Aside from that, we had a bad day with the internet. It went out today, and it was out all day. The good part of it being out was that I managed to clean the entire house today, and boy did it need cleaning. However, it really is not fun not to have internet in europe. We have no idea, but it suddenly came on at a little before midnight. Whatever the case, Im enjoying being on the internet right now, realizing that is probably going to be short lived.
Well nothing else too exciting, besides the Carrolls coming in 2 days. Cant wait!

My honey is sick

So sad... Pat got home from practice today looking so sick. He was pale, and had the chills all over. I feel so bad for him, I hate it so much when he's sick. A couple things about him being sick. Number one, I am a nurse, so most of the time I go a little overboard with asking him way too many questions about what is wrong with him, trying to figure out what is the cause. Number two, I go way overboard with trying to make him comfortable, asking him a million questions to see if he needs or wants anything. Although i know he loves that I care, he probably thinks, woman leave me alone and let me sleep... but it is really hard for me to do. Every time he coughs or rolls over and makes basically any noise I rush into the room to check on him.
The weird thing about him feeling sick today is he usually gets home just about 9, so i called him at about 915 asking where he was. All he said was, Im so sorry if you cooked dinner, but Im not going to be able to eat it, my stomach really hurts. Even when he is sick, he is always thinking about me. He's really that nice. Anyway this is the crazy part, as soon as he said it, I immediately felt nauseated. It was crazy, like twins when they feel each others pain, hahaha, I seriously started to feel sick and my stomach hurt. Nothing we ate today was the same, so I know I am not sick. I know that is crazy, but seriously i did not feel well. The good thing is that I haven't cooked in 2 days, so this cannot be my fault! Anyway we figured it after he vomited so forcefully, I was getting a little nervous. In the 10 years that we have been together, I have never seen him vomit. So now I have. And afterward, i instantaneously felt better, as did he. He will probably get sick a few more times but, he's on toward feeling much better.
Aside from Pat being sick, things in Tenerife are going good. Pat played an away game, and him and his team pulled out a victory. Close but we won! Pat played well scoring 15 points, so that is always nice. Also this past weekend we went to the beach Saturday and Sunday, but it was really cloudy and windy, so we didn't stay long. After the beach Sunday, we decided to drive to the south and go to Jungle park. There are only about 27 white lions in the world, and at this jungle park there was one. It was pretty cool to see. A little disturbing, however, was the fact that they had so many birds, vultures, bald eagles, just to name a few. Rather than putting most of them in cages, they are shackled to the ground, allowing them about a few feet of space to walk. It really hurt my heart to see this. For some reason it just hit me a lot harder than seeing them in cages. At least they can fly in cages. Needless to say, that kind of put a damper on the trip, but it was fun nonetheless.
In other news, I just finished 2 weeks of school here, but Im going to take the next two weeks off. Pat's parents are coming on Fri, and staying for a long weekend, so we are just so excited. They are going to be able to see him play on Saturday. Last year they came, but were unable to see him play, so it's pretty exciting...i just hope he is 100% by then, which I'm sure he will be.
Well I think that is about it for now... until more exciting news comes along.
